<electrofelix> Run across a problem where dependencies specified via Gemfile/gemspec combination are overriding one another
<electrofelix> but there is a second Gemfile called Gemfile-edge - https://github.com/fog/fog-libvirt/blob/master/gemfiles/Gemfile-edge
<electrofelix> where the project wishes to use two dependencies directly from git
<electrofelix> The problem is that the gemspec file overrides these dependencies
<electrofelix> my current hack of a solution is to test whether the 'edge' Gemfile is in use from the gemspec file and skip declaring the dependencies again: https://github.com/fog/fog-libvirt/pull/50/files
<electrofelix> This doesn't seem like the right approach though, is there a better way? Or is the only alternative to move the two deps fog-core/fog-json to always be managed by Gemfiles only?
<electrofelix> The only other alternative I can think of is to use a env variable to control whether to use the deps from the git repos and drop the second Gemfile so that it's fully controlled from the gemspec file
