<codehotter>
Is there any way I can query bundler to see if a gem WOULD be installed if I ran "bundle install"?
<codehotter>
Can I ask bundler whether a gem is in the gemfile?
<dwradcliffe>
codehotter: try `bundle show <gem>`
<codehotter>
dwradcliffe: it replies with Could not find rake-10.1.1 in any of the sources
<codehotter>
dwradcliffe: (I did bundle show puma)
<dwradcliffe>
ah, must not work until after you have bundled
<codehotter>
yes, so what can I do?
<dwradcliffe>
grep? :)
<codehotter>
dwradcliffe: surely bundler must make a list of gems in the gemfile otherwise it would not be able to install them
<codehotter>
dwradcliffe: I'd rather use a bundler function than parse the gemfile myself
<dwradcliffe>
I'm not sure it exposes that functionality though
<dwradcliffe>
you can look at the code though

<b3_>
good afternoon. trying to do a bundle install with rbenv setup pointing to ruby 2.0.0 but bundler thinks it's ruby 1.8.7 (which isn't even on this computer) and failing to get thru the Gemlist. is there a way to tell bundler to use the current version of ruby?
<havenwood>
b3_: Be sure to `gem install bundler` with your current Ruby.
<b3_>
ah, will try that. thanks. not sure where bundler was installed
