<DocScrutinizer05> hmm, shouldn't

<DocScrutinizer05> I don't see any loop without hard termination condition
<DocScrutinizer05> it either terminates after SAMPLES loops, or it moves Vc1 to max or min
<DocScrutinizer05> only oscillation could cause endless looping, like with every iterating function that doesn't converge
<DocScrutinizer05> actually when i loops get more rather then less, you're not converging and tend towards oscillation or saturation. As a safeguard you could decrease the feedback (size of INCREMENT) in such case, each time i loopcount N > i loopcount N-1
<DocScrutinizer05> err < of course

<DocScrutinizer05> you prolly start with one loop for i, and you should end with SAMPLES loops for i. When the number of i loops per iteration is not monotonically increasing, the algo is in trouble (though I can't fugure how that could happen when you don't increase feedback beyond factor 1)

<roh> DocScrutinizer05: hehe.. proper hv fuse in rupture proof
<DocScrutinizer05> Agilent DVM
<DocScrutinizer05> now Keysight
<roh> well.. every cat2 or better needs that
<roh> not sure about cat1
<DocScrutinizer05> well, I've seen tons of those flimsy dia5*20mm blowfuses
<DocScrutinizer05> but this is a real monster compared to those
<roh> you'll need a 1000V proof fuse to get a 600V rating i guess (cat2) ... one usually gets 1000V proof standart electrical gear nowadays (china can do that)
<roh> afaik most recent gear we would buy is cat3 or better anyhow ;)
<roh> i also got some meters with small 5x20 fuses... just dont use em for stuff in fuseboxes outside of a proper fused lab environment and everything should be fine
<DocScrutinizer05> CAT-III
<DocScrutinizer05> 600V
<DocScrutinizer05> except for the separate 10A jack
<roh> eh.. your voltage range isnt fused usually
<DocScrutinizer05> IR 20kA min
<roh> only the seperate jacks for current are
<DocScrutinizer05> it's a all but 10A range jack
<DocScrutinizer05> V Ohm µA diode capacitor temperature
<DocScrutinizer05> I actually dispise that a bit
<DocScrutinizer05> too easy to turn the dial knob from V to A
<roh> hehe.. thats why gossen has extra jacks and a shutter
<DocScrutinizer05> it's only crappy Agilent ;-)
<roh> soooo sad ;)
<DocScrutinizer05> U1233A
<roh> nice. very compact
<roh> i like the probe holders on the back
<DocScrutinizer05> yes, though they are less useful than you'd hope for
<roh> oh. gotta run and move before it rains
<DocScrutinizer05> me too
<roh> bbl
