the LED controlled by a BJT (transistor) without base resistor, thus loading the GPIO several times more than just driving the LED directly would have 2016-03-02 02:27 heh.. why did we not use a transistor with internal base resistor again? 2016-03-02 02:27 - of course, the dash crystal traces, my favourite (i spotted that one :) 2016-03-02 02:27 sandeepkr has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 02:28 roh: i think that was the solution in the end :) of course, it all created the minor annoyance that we have some devices with the LED active-high and others with the LED active-low 2016-03-02 02:31 - the famous EEPROM loss of the debug board, caused by massive caps (well beyond the limits of what USB allows as well), that made the board crawl out of reset so slowly that the USB chip was trying to access the EEPROM before it was operational 2016-03-02 02:33 - the "wired-or" diode on nRESET (GTA02, i think), with a reverse current in the order of 1 mA (and a forward current suitable to start a car), causing the "receiving" net to contaminate the "sending" net. the proper solution was to do away with that diode circuit entirely (it had more, smaller issues) and to just use logic gates 2016-03-02 02:35 these, plus that unintended power-on after power-down are my five favourites. there were more things, of course 2016-03-02 02:36 the Glamo graphics decelerator might deserve mention, as well 2016-03-02 02:55 fengling has quit [Quit: WeeChat 1.4] 2016-03-02 02:56 fengling has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 04:06 aimg has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 04:33 sandeepkr has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds] 2016-03-02 04:48 sandeepkr has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 05:22 i must say that the idea of, when idle, disabling the boost converter and just feeding off the silo caps is eerily tempting. that would make battery life nearly infinite :) 2016-03-02 05:22 alas, would introduce that kind of bad MCU-must-not-twitch dependency 2016-03-02 05:22 (infinite) that is, when idle. of course, if busy radioing around, or with the display on, that would change 2016-03-02 05:25 DocScrutinizer05 has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 05:32 wej has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 06:33 xiangfu has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 07:30 sandeepkr has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds] 2016-03-02 07:32 sandeepkr has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 08:00 apelete has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 08:06 xiangfu has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds] 2016-03-02 08:07 xiangfu has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 08:27 aimg has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds] 2016-03-02 08:42 sandeepkr has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds] 2016-03-02 08:54 aimg has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 09:17 sandeepkr has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 09:36 sandeepkr has quit [Ping timeout: 248 seconds] 2016-03-02 09:41 sandeepkr has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 09:47 jwhitmore has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 10:05 pcercuei has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 10:14 sandeepkr has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds] 2016-03-02 10:53 sandeepkr has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 11:02 sandeepkr has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds] 2016-03-02 11:22 pcercuei has quit [Quit: leaving] 2016-03-02 11:44 xiangfu has quit [Ping timeout: 276 seconds] 2016-03-02 13:23 xiangfu has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 13:28 xiangfu has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds] 2016-03-02 13:47 rjeffries has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 14:23 aimgg has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 14:26 aimgg has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer] 2016-03-02 14:51 rjeffries has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds] 2016-03-02 15:06 rjeffries has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 15:08 sb0_ has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 15:08 sb0 has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer] 2016-03-02 15:23 rjeffries has quit [Ping timeout: 248 seconds] 2016-03-02 15:47 pcercuei has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 16:15 _whitelogger_ has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 16:15 _whitelogger has quit [Ping timeout: 264 seconds] 2016-03-02 16:15 __20h__ has quit [Ping timeout: 264 seconds] 2016-03-02 16:15 enyc has quit [Ping timeout: 264 seconds] 2016-03-02 16:15 enyc_ has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 16:16 __20h__ has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 16:48 jwhitmore has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds] 2016-03-02 16:51 Ornoterm1s has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds] 2016-03-02 16:51 _whitelogger_ has quit [Excess Flood] 2016-03-02 16:52 _whitelogger has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 17:03 Ornotermes has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 17:08 sandeepkr has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 17:41 pcercuei has quit [Quit: leaving] 2016-03-02 17:48 sandeepkr has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds] 2016-03-02 18:07 _whitelogger has quit [Excess Flood] 2016-03-02 18:07 _whitelogger has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 18:30 pcercuei has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 19:12 jwhitmore has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 19:38 jwhitmore has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds] 2016-03-02 19:46 jwhitmore has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 21:04 pcercuei has quit [Ping timeout: 268 seconds] 2016-03-02 21:04 pcercuei has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 21:19 pcercuei has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds] 2016-03-02 21:19 pcercuei has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 21:56 pcercuei has quit [Ping timeout: 248 seconds] 2016-03-02 21:57 pcercuei has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 22:35 fengling has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds] 2016-03-02 22:35 archang has quit [Ping timeout: 276 seconds] 2016-03-02 22:47 pcercuei has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds] 2016-03-02 22:47 pcercuei has joined #qi-hardware 2016-03-02 22:49 pcercuei has quit [Client Quit] 2016-03-02 23:53 aimg has quit [Ping timeout: 276 seconds]
