However, AFAICS they are all based on the Raspberry Pi, which leads to predictably fat devices. I understand that a DIY attempt won't be half as sleek as a commercial offering, but I'd still like it to be atleast a little thinner. What boards would be recommended, keeping that in mind? The RPi Zero seems the right size but seems to require 2015-12-29 03:47 closed-source software to run. 2015-12-29 04:06 fengling has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 2015-12-29 04:08 DocScrutinizer05 has quit [Disconnected by services] 2015-12-29 04:09 DocScrutinizer05 has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 04:11 folks? anyone? 2015-12-29 04:14 fengling has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 04:49 fengling has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 2015-12-29 04:58 fengling has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 05:41 contrapunctus: whatsup? 2015-12-29 05:44 i dont recomend, but there are interesting projects raising as c.h.i.p and redphone, they worth taking a look, but you there are always caveats 2015-12-29 05:44 also you wont be getting anything floss when is about GSM/LTE hardware :-) 2015-12-29 05:59 hey, kristianpaul , thanks 2015-12-29 05:59 hm, that sucks :\ 2015-12-29 06:11 archang has quit [Ping timeout: 265 seconds] 2015-12-29 06:14 archang has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 07:24 sandeepkr has quit [Read error: No route to host] 2015-12-29 07:34 archang has quit [Ping timeout: 265 seconds] 2015-12-29 07:47 archang has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 08:51 fengling has quit [Quit: WeeChat 1.2] 2015-12-29 09:13 pcercuei has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 10:44 atommann has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds] 2015-12-29 11:58 atommann has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 12:11 atommann has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds] 2015-12-29 12:23 atommann has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 12:36 xiangfu has quit [Remote host closed the connection] 2015-12-29 13:39 panda|z has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 2015-12-29 13:39 rozzin has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds] 2015-12-29 13:42 atommann has quit [Quit: Leaving] 2015-12-29 13:51 arossdotme has quit [Ping timeout: 240 seconds] 2015-12-29 13:59 panda|z has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 14:00 arossdotme has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 14:02 rozzin has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 14:10 panda|z has quit [Ping timeout: 276 seconds] 2015-12-29 14:11 kilae has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 14:14 panda|z has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 14:20 panda|z has quit [Ping timeout: 276 seconds] 2015-12-29 14:23 panda|z has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 14:34 panda|z has quit [Ping timeout: 256 seconds] 2015-12-29 14:38 panda|z has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 14:45 contrapunctus: yes it does :p 2015-12-29 14:46 and think about the networks etc.. 2015-12-29 14:46 dat lag :D 2015-12-29 14:46 kristianpaul: 'networks etc'? 2015-12-29 14:48 sandeepkr has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 15:00 contrapunctus: even if you implement a open base band for your gsm/lte stack 2015-12-29 15:00 then you need a network 2015-12-29 15:00 whats what i meant 2015-12-29 15:13 kristianpaul: hm, I know just about nothing regarding telephony, so I don't get you - I'll read up on those terms, though, thanks. 2015-12-29 15:16 ah ok 2015-12-29 15:16 sorry i misundertood the question then 2015-12-29 15:18 kristianpaul: I suppose I could look into reverse-engineering any closed-source components down the line. 2015-12-29 15:19 or implement new methods, everything is up to you and you resources 2015-12-29 15:20 hm 2015-12-29 18:29 contrapunctus has quit [Quit: "Good night, folks."] 2015-12-29 19:16 tumdedum has quit [Ping timeout: 246 seconds] 2015-12-29 19:17 tumdedum has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 19:35 archang has quit [Ping timeout: 245 seconds] 2015-12-29 19:36 archang has joined #qi-hardware 2015-12-29 20:35 kilae has quit [Quit: ChatZilla 0.9.92 [Firefox 43.0.3/20151223140742]] 2015-12-29 21:48 pcercuei has quit [Quit: leaving]
